630 Clutch Renew

I am starting to renew the clutch and need to know if I need to order a new bonded clutch disc. When I took the old one out, there were no facings on it at all. So, I was wondering if these were ordered loose and glued on to the old one or best to order one with the facings already on it? Also, should I replace the adjusting springs at this time? They seem ok but are not expensive and seems like the right time to do this. Anything else I need to know before ordering parts? Thanks! Ed

I"d recommend a rivot type, but you are able to
purchase either style most anywhere they sell
older tractor parts.. Like this site does.

While you are at it check to see how much up and down play is in the bearing and bushing. Yes buy the complete disk. O and there are two disks that float. I think you should get a picture breakdown of what is all in there if you dont already. I just went thru the clutch on my 70D, new bushing and bearing, disks and drivers. Jim

Thanks! Yes, I have the shop manual with diagram. My facing disk was slick as whistle, nothing but metal, so I am guessing that it had completely disintegrated over time and usage. I guess that I will order new facing disc and floating discs and that should do it. There is no discernable movement in shaft, so I will presume bearings, etc are all good. Thanks again!
