Rims interchange?

Do impliment rims cross fit? Will rims from a John Deere baler fit on an IH baler - like from a JD 14T to an IH 56 baler? Friend has to move a baler a long distance and he knows my tires are ready to go while he knows the ones on the baler he's moving won't last long at any speed (20 year old impliment tires). They are both set up with a 4 bolt on one side and a 6 bolt on the other (with a 14(?) hole wheel).

When he gets it home he'll put his wheels back on and return mine.

The short answer is "maybe". Most basic implement rims are interchangeable but some six-bolt rims are not. Most six-bolt implement rims have a 4 5/8" center pilot hole, where a Deere rim many times has a 4 1/2" pilot hole. But this is not an absolute. You will have to measure to be sure. Usually, you can put someone else's rim on a Deere but many times you can't go the other way. Once you can visually see the difference you won't need a tape measure. To my knowledge the four-bolt rims are the same. Mike
