John Deere 650

I"m looking at purchasing a 650 this week. It has a
rototiller on it and seem to be in good condition
overall. It has 277 hour on the meter, thought to
be a low use tractor.

How dependable are these tractors, will they handle
a 5" bush hog? Any information will be helpful.

I don't want to pour cold water on your find, and I'm even a big Deere/Yanmar enthusiast, but I think a 5 ft Bush Hog on a 650 would be a bit much, especially if you're mowing thick, heavy stuff. Then too, the 650 has a transmission driven PTO. I don't think you'll like that with either the Bush Hog nor roto-tiller. Reliability, if it's been cared for, can't be beat.
