Can anyone recommend a good shop to reline the brakes for a B John Deere? There is nowhere locally for me to get this done.

I had mine done at a local John Deere. I have a friend of mine who works there and asked him about it and he said sure they would do it - as they still have the old rivet machine and could do it.

He called though and said you want aftermarket linings or John Deere, I said well whats the price. One John Deere lining was higher then both linings of the aftermarket. But being young and hoping to have the tractor another 50 years i went with the John Deere. Might not hurt to check.

Davenport Tractor said these would fit earlier Bs

you can do it yourself using these as a rivet set

I did mine myself. Didnt have the rivet setter. Used brass rivets for leather working. Been working fine for 4 years.
