BO or BR

Question is in 1938 were the turning brakes on a BO optional? This tractor has the BO hood, intake and muffler but it has the prairie brake.

My parts catalog PC190 dated 5-51 for SN 325000- shows service brake was on BR only. Differential brakes doesn't specify.

Have to ask. Where is the collection ? Doesn't look like anything has moved for some time.

Collection was in New York. Auction was this week. Now the tractors are heading all around the world. I know a few were going to England and one was going to Belgium.

As an option, BR tractors could have been ordered with a BO hood or somewhere along the line someone put a BO hood on this tractor.

Hey just wondering if anyone has the sale results of these john deere tractors, Id like to keep up with the value of what tractors are selling for. I thought all BOs had turning brakes. mine is a 1940 and it does.

My '45 BO has turning brakes also.
