I was wondering if any one knows where I can find more info on a hitch for an older JD tractor. The hitch mounts under the belly of the tractor and has a half radius that goes behind the rear wheels of the tractor. It has a slide on it that let"s I"m assuming 2 four row planters. Not sure what model tractor it went on it was left at my grandfathers farm when my mom bought it. My dad thought maybe they used it on a 720 or 730 JD. I"ve seen pictures before of one of these on a 5010 or 5020 i think it was. But can"t find any info now. Any input or places I could find info on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

In my 1964 planter brochure it refers to it as the two planter hitch and is shown with a 4020. In a 1969 brochure it shows it with a 5020 and a 4520 and calls it a No. 16 hitch.I also have a brochure that shows it with a 730 tractor.I could not find any price info in my 1960 dealer price book.

Check; JD parts.com, PC-1076, multi-hitch (called circle hitchs) #18 make in '61' for 730 & 4010 for 2, 4row 494-A.. #16 make about "67" for 4020, 5020, 4520; pulled 2: 4, 6,row or 2-8 row 20" planters.. I'll try to dig up pics..

i think they ran something in green magazine a couple years ago too, i'd have to look back thru the old issues.
