Good day! I am working on a 1939 John Deere B. I have 4.500 dia bores and 1 1/4 dia wrist pins. I had an issue with crankshaft (splines for clutch shot) so I bought a used crank supposedly from a 1940 B. The mains on this crank measure 2.750. My old mains were a lot smaller, did not measure, but likely 2.500 or less. So I bought 2 used connecting rods to fit this crank. I now have 2 rods that fit mains, but now my wrist pins are wrong. The pistons I have sport a 1 1/4 dia wrist pin, while the rods I bought have a 1 3/8 dia wrist pin bore. My question is, can I buy 4.500 dia pistons with 1 3/8 wrist pins or should I just go ahead and make oversize bushings for the new rods and put it together. I also need to find a new set of rings, all of my normal suppliers have 4 11/16 dia rings for a later model. Any help will be appreciated, John
