Unstyled B Radiator Tanks

Took my radiator apart to fix the core. I was cleaning off the old tank gaskets and found alot of deep pitting in the top tank, especially on the inside edges. I don't think new gaskets are going to seal the pits from leaking.
Has anyone had this problem and fixed it? What are some suggestions?

I had this same problem with our Unstyled AO radiator. I sand blasted all of the rust out of the pit's. I then filled it with some Devcon Plastic Steel. Once it hardened I milled the gasket surface and painted the inside with Glyptol to seal it before assembling. That was 13 years ago and its still holding.

Put aviation gasket sealer on both sides of gasket. Done. These radiators are NON pressurized, just needs to be water tight.
