My 1939 B clutch was slipping plowing last year.I decided to put in new clutch facings. After taking apart it is wet around the crankshaft and pulley.I do not see any seals on crankshaft.Looks like oil made clutch slip.Where is it comming from?

Have you run a COMP CK, if ok, then the oil return hole it the plate behind the clutch may be pluged . Only reasons unless oil level way to high. Low COMP will cause excessive BLOW BY hence the dampness.

If it set properly, you can soak the whole assembly in oil, it wont slip on that tractor. Tighten it up & use it. There are no seals, only a slinger. Make sure you dont have excess oil pressure. 15psi max.
