Have a 1958 520 I bought a year ago. Just noticed that the jack screws on the left rear wheel are missing. The one on the right has them still. (They are actually "bolts" used to loosen the wheel to move it in or out.)Need to open the wheels but I am stuck. Question- What is the bolt size and tread for the jack screws??? They are rather expensive, but I have the material and equipment to make them. OR, how can I take one off from the other side to use it as a sample????? Thank you in advance for your assistance. | Simply buy new or used ones. The tractor we used on the cornpicker needs the wheels moved every year and the jack screws will rust up tight from nonuse so we just have two new screws in the tool box and put them in when moving the wheels. There is a soft washer on the inside of the bolts to keep them from coming out. When I have to move wheels on a tractor that has not been done for a long time I screw the bolt completly out so that I can clean and check the threads(this ruins the inside washer but is better than twisting off a jack bolt)I use new bolts for the first move then put the old ones back in or simply put them in the shop but I am sure the soft washer is not expensive. |

| There is a clip on the end of the pushbolt that keeps it from coming all the way out. You would need to loosen the wheel wedges on the side that still has the pushbolts in them to access the clip on the end of the bolt. maybe 3/4" thread on the bolt. |

| In today's world I think the jack bolts are not outrageous for a 50+ year old machine
