I am currently restoring a 49 D in my "spare" time. Yesterday I began disassembling the brake drum/band. The drum appears to be worn unevenly,with a slant across what I would think should be a flat surface.Has anyone seen this? What would cause this? (the brake lining is gone but the band is OK)I am thinking I will need to build the drum up and machine it back flat. Opinions?
