Dad bought a new hyd. on dash 4020 in the fall of 1968 as Deere had a large rebate to sell the older tractors because the side console tractors were already on the dealer lots.Having never owned a side console he did not know what he was missing and it was a step up from the 70 diesel he traded. |

| One week later he traded his 720 diesel on a used 4020.Both 4020's had aftermarket cabs one was narrow front and the other wide front. The new one with cab and narrow front cost $6800. |

| I want to say a fellow my dad knew years ago took delivery of his 1969 4020 SC right about Thanksgiving of 1968. Too bad the local dealer went out around 1966 as it would have been fun riding by a Deere dealer then (intro of the side consoles) as a kid and look out the window of the family car and looking at the tractors. |
