Fleet farm napa orielleys etc all have them. Get a napa or wix, they come with a new seal, the jd ones do not. And jd is more $. I like wix. DO NOT over tighten the big nut on the filter canister. Just enough to stop leaking. Too tight easily destroys the canister top, HUGE job/pain to repair.

(quoted from post at 22:35:54 02/17/13) Jim,
If you need to replace the gasket,A519R,add another $4.49

I'm not denying that some JD parts prices are way out in left field. But some JD parts are very competitive sometimes even cheaper.

I agree on JD parts sometimes being cheaper. I've seen that a lot of times. But in this case why not put the gasket in with filter and charge accordingly?

My son is a parts man at a John Deere dealership. He said that Deere has used that same filter for years and that it fits many different tractors. However, not all tractors use the same gasket. Therefore, it's not included with the filter and you have to buy separately whichever one you need.
