Mounting Deere joystick and valve on 4020

I have an open-station '69 4020 gas with 148 loader, and the loader is currently plumbed into the tractor SCV's. I found a Deere three-function joystick and valve so now I can free up the SCVs and hopefully get improved performance from the loader. Mounting the joystick on the fender is not a problem; my question is where is the best place to mount the valve box (#20 below) on this tractor?

Also, Tim S. or anyone else that has done this on a side-console 20 series- when tapping into the hydraulic pressure line under the platform, is there a fitting you can replace with a tee? If not, how do you tap into the pressure line? I'd remove the platform and take a peek with my own eyes, but I'm not planning on starting this project until hay feeding season is over with up here in WI.

Deere does make a power beyond block to fit behind
the right hand SCV valve and the work good I bought
a used 1 for $25.

I do like the idea of the power beyond kit but I'm trying to avoid having to hack into the rockshaft cover to make room for the PB block.

I had same setup on 3020 and mounted box on RH side
frame rail. Worked really well with joystick control.

By the way, I agree that power beyond block behind scv is
the best setup. Look into it before you decide.

I don't have the tee part # but this is the spec's for the fitting that will need to be replaced with a tee. If it were me doing the work I think I would R&R fitting at the pressure control valve under the hood.

You could put a 3rd outlet tower on it and at the top put a power beyond block with a scv block off plate. i can get part number tomarrow. That is what i am going to do with my 1970 4020 gas with 148 loader to avoid hacking up the side tins

I put a Tee up under the hood and drop a hose down to the valve for the pressure supply and drill and tap the filter bowl for the return,,a power beyond block will work under the left SCV for your pressure supply but they are not cheap....

I agree with you. That auxiliary block is a little $$$$$ R54312 MANIFOLD,AUXILIARY OUTLET ADD 256.61

Just a quick update on this old topic... got the joystick and valve installed successfully today. Tapped into the fitting at the pressure control valve and returned at the fitting for the trans temp gauge. Works slick as can be and was a nice clean install. Loader cycles about twice as fast compared to SCVs. Thanks to all for your comments and suggestions.
