SuperABen 02-15-2013 17:40:43 184.63.130.244 Report to Moderator	Thanks for the tips. The problem is that the vinyl is sun dried to where it won't peel, just snaps and breaks. This M sat outside for awhile. I was hoping for something that could dissolve the glue but not burn up the steering wheel's rubber. Ben W. [Reply]   [No Email]

But with the cut around the circumference done, there might be enough cracks in the old rubber to let enough in there to do a fair job of it. I'd let it soak for at least a day. It shouldn't harm the rubber at all, but could make it messy handling until it dried off. [Reply]  [No Email]

If the glue is a problem after the tape is off, paint-prep or any alcohol based pre-paint cleaner will get the glue with enough soaking and scrubbing. Jim [Reply]  [No Email]
