1937 Low Radiator G Value?

Looked at a John Deere 1937 G today. The tractor runs good, paint and tires are good, rear round spokes. Serial number 25XX. Has the original radiator. What is it worth?

Thats a tough one. On one hand it is worth something but on the other hand it is a very limited market. There are not as many guys now as there was 5-10 years ago that want them.

When you say paint and tires are good, do you mean it was restored recently?

I know where there is one locally with an expo quality restoration with correct rubber wheels and a perfect set of steel wheels for front and back i think he wants in the neighborhood of 12-15 for it... I would like one because they are getting harder to find.. and having the factory default makes for a better story than just having a john deere G.

I think someone has been making repop radiators for those and the value of them has dropped some.
Might be hard to tell an original low radiator from a repop low radiator ?

One sold in northern MN within the last 2 years fully restored on cast wheels for $9100, and some sold last year at polks for the $9000 range, and I know of one in indiana completely restored they have wanted $12,500 for a long time and arent getting it. I paid $8500 for mine unrestored and running.

For the prices you quoted were any of the G's on factory round spokes? Also, did all of the tractors still have the low radiator?

Those are really the numbers that I wanted to throw out there but I didn't want to get flamed. Detwhilers really killed the low radiator G market IMO since alot of them now are reproductions and not originals.
