4430 power shift shifter spring

Hi All, I am in need of a shifter spring for a 4430 power shift. It holds the shift lever to one side. JD has them re70193 for $65 but I don"t want to spend that much if I can avoid it. Anyone have a workaround for this part?

Wow,,that is a bit outrageous,,,I have had good luck with those nice assortments the local hardware"s have, you may need to alter one a bit to make it work ,,but it"s worth a look...

that mught be a little high but that part number is for SPRING, SHIFTER PIN & SPRING & PLAT is a kit so might not be all that high
