I believe these point sets and condensor is the same as old Chevrolet 6 cylinder engines...take them to NAPA and compare.

Could the JD part person not "justify" the higher price of the parts? LOL

We have a 620 with the same distributer.A friend had a nos set he sold me cheap, but I think that I am going to get a different distributer rather than pay a high price for parts.

This is not NAPA but a salvage yard in Iowa carries aftermarket parts. Might want to give them a call, Eiklengerg Salvage, Aplington, IA phone 319-347-5510.

No promises from me, just trying to help you out.

You might want to contact The Brillman Company at 888-274-5562 or www.brillman.com. John is a good guy to deal with and has lots of stuff. Not sure if he has parts for a Wico distributor or not, but it's worth a try. His prices are reasonable.

That's got to be a rare dist. ! A wonder Deere even can get them.

Might want to find a Delco and stick in there ?

I have a 630 with a Wico that was made 1-7-1960 and bought new by my dad. A week ago I was looking at a 630 made on 1-22-1960 and it had a Wico. Did Deere pull a Wico off the shelf once-in-awhile, or did they use Wico's when they ran out of Delco's or what? Jim

I have one on a 730 #7325377. Don't remember build date off the top of my head. Replaced ignition parts once in over 500 hrs use and it only needed a condensor.

Likely no one left alive that was involved with this back in the day.
