#1. The hood on it has 3 holes in the top front, the same dia. I know ones for the muffler, and the next for the air stack, but whats the third hole for?

#2. The (dash) has 3 guages in it. I cant tell what they were for as the faces are all shot. I also have a oil guage screwed in the gov assembly. Thats 4 guages. What were they for other than Oil pressure, Amps, and, since there is no lights on it, Why would it need a amps guage, and a water temp guage. WHATS THE FORTH GUAGE FOR?

#3 The casting that mounts onto the radiator, that has the oil filter canister mounted below it, and has a port for a hose going to the carb next to it, has a smaller hole on the other side of the hole for the carb. Its a smaller dia hole. Whats it for?

1. Front hole is for the radiator cap.
2. Top gauge is heat gauge.
Center gauge is amp gauge.
Bottom gauge is oil pressure.
The oil gauge on the governor could be an add-on
or a farmer fix.

3. The small hole in the casting is for a ventilator pipe connected to the governor housing.

One never knows what might have been changed or added in the course of keeping the old machines runnning.

oops Forgot about the radiator. Thanks

How is the pipe connected to the gov housing, and to the air cleaner?. Can I buy it or do IO have to make itr>

Vent tube is part number A2166, Part #16 on page 74 of the parts manual. Probably have to get one from a salvage yard. Book shows the part was used from 477000 (1939) to 583999 (1947) so one should be available from salvagers. Post an ad on this site for one. Someone will have it. Pipe will have two packing bushings and two glands to hold it in place. LOVE THEM A's.
