Tires and condition can make 3/5K or more difference.I am seeing more people that are looking for a special tractor especially to use, the 4020 is still one of the handiest auger and yard tractors available.Hard to beleive the first 4020 were introduced 49years ago.I was around 20 when I bought my first new tractor which was a 65 1206[$6500] and got a 66 4020[$6700] the next year, so they are my favorites kind of like my wife of 47yrs.Never had a 2cyl.and they are not as popular as they were as the enthusiasts that collected them are getting older. Most people buy what they like if even if it is not rare[over 185,000 4020s]or have memories from days gone by.I have a call most every day looking for an original 72 4020 and most that I know of are not for sale.Inflation and high grain prices have had a big influence on tractors but not like land prices up over 15% per year. |
