Replacing Pulley Brake Pad

Is replacing the pad on the pulley brake as simple as bending the metal ears , slipping out the old pad and sliding in the new one?
Thanks

Yup. Might need to readjust the brake though cause your new one will be thicker.

I had to adjust my brake because it was thick .Mine didn"t want to come out of gear until I readjusted it.

I think all 2-cylinder JD tractors shift much better when the Clutch-Brake is set well to the loose-side..otherwise the clutch brake binds the transmission..
You will not be twitching the Clutch-handle nearly as much..!
