Pre-side councel vs counsel 4020

Is there much difference in the transmission of a pre-side counsel vs counsel 4020? For example a 1967 vs a 1969 or later. Is there anything to be concerned about? Paul

Trans no, but the pto is hydraulically engaged on the 69 and mechanical on the 67. chris

The console 4020 transmission from 69/72 I believe to be the same.The 4000 was a little different in the syngronizers.The shift lever was longer in 71/72.The rest of the tractor is why[ most] prefer the 69/72 due to hydraulics location .The pto that was manually engaged on 64/68 is prefered by some as it can be eased in.The lack of aircleaner[option] and smaller muffler made them sleeker in design and there is at least a couple thousand $s difference if nice.
