If you buy a new hub it is yellow. The tractors that I know are originals have green hubs on the inside.I assume that when the tractors were painted at the factory the wide front was on hence the green paint on inside. Now how did the outside get yellow. It had to be done after wheel was installed as the rims are painted separately. The inside doesnt bother me either way just out side. One minor thing the gearshift top part is always black not really paint but almost like a coating that probably keeps it from looking dirty.I like 1206 Internationals and the same thing happens with their front hubs only just the cap is red.I would not even attempt to paint a tractor to suit me that is a job that requires excellent facilities ,patience, and someone fussier than me.The 2510 and 2520 are nice and I always say there are may be several as nice but very few nicer.

Excellent job.2520s seem to be one of the hot ones and are hard to find.It is funny but 2520/3020/4000/4020/&4320 all bring about the same money but when I have a 2520 for sale they get the most number of potential buyers that call.I see so many [originals] that have the front hubs green and axles yellow that I appreciate one done right.Probably cheaper to buy one that is done or nice original but the satisfaction of a job well done is priceless.

Larry, I have a question about the green hubs.I have seen quite a few tractors that the inside of the hub(behind the rim) was green. Were some 10 and 20 series painted like that or should the whole hub be yellow? I like you do not like green hubs, yellow axles do not bother me but the green hub stands out to much.

Larry,I like the front wheels done correctly too......but after I look at these two tractors, I'm beginning to wonder...which is correct from the factory???? Front hub all yellow, or just the front side showing through the wheel? I've always thought it was just the side showing on the outside..... Nice tractors either way!

Thanks much for the comments about the inside hub color as I want this to be as accurate as possible. Since this tractor was original paint I assumed the inside was yellow since that is what they were as can be seen in one of the pictures which I used as a guide so they must have been replaced at some point. It would make sense that they would be green and fortunately that’s easy to fix. There was nothing left on the shift lever from wear and another easy fix.
