how to proof a P-pump on a 6030?

Hi,

I"m an admin at the fanpage for the mighty 6030 at facebook. This page can be found at: www.facebook.com/johndeere6030

One of the people that liked this page asked me the next question:
What kind of fuelpump is on a 6030, a Bosch A or P-pump?
I know that the 141HP 6030 has the Roosa-Master pump and the 175HP 6030 has the P-pump. But how to proof this. It isn"t mentioned as a P-pump in the partsbook. The operators manual doesn"t call it a P-pump. There"s no tag on the pump to proof.
At least at the pump on my 6030 there"s no tag.
The person who asked me this question wants to settle an agrument, so please help

There should be a tag in middle top rail where fuel lines comes out of the pump. There will be a real long series of numbers on it. It will be something like Pes6*P. I believe its the 5th or 6th digit. It will say a or p, but they used p pumps so thats what it will b.

Bosch P size pumps have 2 hold down studs on each outlet flange. Pump may have a tin cover that studs are hidden under. Newer or repaired pumps may not have the tin cover as all it did was held dirt and caused more corrosion damage to top of pump. A size pumps have no studs on top.

A p style pump has 2 studs that point up at each high pressure fuel line . This pump may have a cover over the delivery valves. It will look like the same pump from a old 7520. The other bosch inline pump used on the old deeres will look like the ones on a 4430,,, this is not a P style.
