Had some pics of our 6410 during exploratory surgery. The gasket was blowen between the trans and back cover, lowering the trans pressure in reverse and burning the reverse brake pack. No big deal, if you didn't have to fab a cab tilt tool, then fab a trans lifting tool, then fab a stand to hold the trans on its nose.

Thats a sight I dont miss seeing! Yes Tim, those Super Duty Fords can be kind of nasty without a good hoist and stands.

I was at the Ford dealership the other day. They had a F-350 they were working on. They had completely removed the cab. Looked different sittng there like that.

A friend bought a rebuilder 09 Superduty. We had to switch cabs because the original was too beat up to salvage. What fun that was, without the right tools for the job lol. Pickup turned out good though, but I seen the bills for parts and such. wowsers.

I am going to talk about the tractor.....I can't see it in the pics but interested to know how you tilted the cab...looks like it went ok for you. The lifting bracket for the PQ module looks a lot like the dealer fabricated tool the book shows. I made up an adapter from the book to hang the PQ module in an engine stand. It works slick when you are needing to gut the module right out. Did you have the shift valve off the bottom? If so there is an updated bolt with a copper washer that is used on the valve. It is not a BIG deal but I have seen the bolt break/fall out. If they break they can be a bear to get out. One of our customers had one come out,catch on the MFWD driveshaft U-Joint and break the housing (rare to be sure) The removal of transmission components is one advantage the Mannheims have over the Waterloo built.
