70 hydrolic couplers

i'm going to convert my hydrolic couplers on my 70 over to pioneer style john deere couplers. and idea's? they just hace plugs in em now. there was a post on this a few months ago but i cant find it, thanks.

The photo below shows "15" our 53 Model 70 with one remote hydraulic plug.

"15" powers the <a href="http://youtu.be/H_1_iWV9WqE">KRONE 125 baler</a> that has only one hydraulic line.

The photo below shows "Big John" our 55 Model 70 diesel with two remote plugs.

These two remote plugs have been "plumbed on the side" because the design of the 3 point blocks access to the OEM "dummy" plugs.

"Big John" powers the <a href="http://youtu.be/oHJzjiuHOwU">KRONE 260 baler</a> that has only one hydraulic line.

The photo below shows "Vernon" our 56 Model 70 with one remote hydraulic plug plumbed on the side.

Hope this helps.

Take the pipe plugs out on the right side of powertrol, screw in pipe and an elbow setup. Then put your pioneer couplers on the new elbows. Leave the dummy plugs in. Your rockshaft will move whenever you use the hyd but thats ok. Hopefully you never do what I did, and break off the pipes on the sides when the drawbar pin came out, resulting in hoses getting streched and a runaway plow going down the road!

Ben, On my 70 I removed the pipe plugs and then ran hoses under the seat to Pioneer couplers on the left side. Mounted the couplers to a Pioneer holder so that they would break away if something unhooked. Seems to work fine. Al
