A combine engine would be a cheap easy way back up and running again. I think some,but not all of the 6600 combines had that engine too. |

| Mike I think your right. I think the early level land 6600s did use that engine. Yes it would be cheap and easy. The engine thats in it is factory turbocharged. I dont believe anything less would be that great though. It sees heavy use and those transmissions really seem to demand power. Also, the hyd load on the engine just adds insult to injury. I know this is no comparison, but I operated a 644 J once, that was a beast and the shift was way improved over the E series. Was fun to run and then some. Mike |

| I put the turbo stuff over on the donor engine, they actually feel decent in power, of course the original engines were tired before the swap, so anything was better, and the owners wallet felt better too... |

| Yes all the 4400 diesels were 329's and some early 6600's were too,,that's what I have been putting into some of these old ones around here, they work out good, most of them are used in auto salvage yards and a few saw mills. |
