I am looking for a rebuildable carburator for a 1947 Model B, SN210091. My parts book says it is a Marvel-Schebler DLTX67 or DLTX73. Does anyone know if the same model was used on other makes? Am thinking I may be able to source one that way. The price of a rebuilt is out of my range right now and I don't have a usable core so that makes it even more expensive. |

I just had an early carb made to 67 specs by popin john for a fraction of what buying one outright would"ve cost. Give him a call and he"ll explain what he"ll do. I put the carb on my 49 B and it started on the first turn. Good luck. Fred

Keep an eye on e-bay , they come up on there quite often. You're looking at a "C" note for an unbroken re-builder. 67 and 71 go pretty high.

You say yours is not rebuild-able are you sure?? I had one off my 1935 JD-B that I believed that and a guy was able to weld on a piece of pipe to the bottom so you could put a pipe plug on it for the bottom part. Then years later the same area broke again and this time I also believe the same but was able to buy from Valu-Bilt yes cost me $500 but got my care charge back so dropped that price down by $100. At least you have the more common carb the DLTX10 I needed is a lot harder to find

Is it beyond being rebuilt? I had one that sat for 20+ years and I rebuilt it myself. And I am not a great mechanic. It will plow all day. If you do it yourself get the drill bits for it. Stieners has a good selection of parts.
