60 radiator core question

Im going to tackle the 60's radiator. I should have done this last winter...but alas.... anyway... Ever since the overhaul last winter the tractor runs hot and the water pump is leaking more and more every day. My question:Is it easier to rassel with the bolts that hold the tanks to the core while the radiator is bolted in the tractor frame, or is it best to get the whole radiator assembly out and rassel with the bolts that hold the core to the tanks? Any pointers are appreciated. Water pump is leaking as well.

You will need to take it clear out,,I sent mine to the radiator shop and let them change and check the new core for leaks after they were done.

See now you know something else you forgot to get from me when you where here LOL

Hope you don't have a schwartz wide front it covers up the 2 big radiator bolts. Don't worry about breaking the little bolts with nuts, but be careful with the studs, heat and PB. Russ

Messy, to drain the Power Steering, maybe..but much easier take the control valve loose and take it out..(out the Clutch-Side)..
Use Tubing wrenches and Crow's-Feet and keep track of the little Aluminum Seals.

Way too many Bolts to mess with, with it still in place..!! You will probably replace most of the small Studs..!

Yeah tell me about it. Lol! If I knew it then I might have just got that from you?? BTW were you at a guys place up there by you who passed away that raised turkeys. Had a big auction in November. I heard tractors went real cheap! Too bad I just heard about the auction.... always my luck!! Lol
