starts very very hard. put the choke on crank and crank and crank. finally it startys if i dont run the battery down. changed plugs, didnt help. been like this every since i got it new.dealer says its the nature of the beast. i dont think so. anyone else have this problem.

jd,
I have a 500cc Buck. Purchased used 3 or 4 years ago. It's very cold natured but always starts if choked properly, pull out all the way to start and then about half way in to warm up.

I sware I remember reading in here before someone having all kinds of trouble with one they bought used. I want to say that after everything they tried the ended up taking the muffler off and something about how the baffles were in it was creating too much back pressure I could be wrong but u might try and search the forums I know it has been on here before.....

I bought one new and it always has been cold blooded but nothing like your describing. I pull the choke out all the way and pump the throttle a couple times. I do turn the idle up just a little in the winter as well.

I bought mine brand new and if I pull the choke out all the way it will start right up I also took mine to a real four wheeler mechanic and they made it run way better than it did even brand new I don"t think the John Deere guys know much about them

Absolutely right 4020 Deere boy. Take it to someone familiar with Bombardier 4 wheelers, cause thats who made them for Deere.
