power steering cam

I am fixing the power steering on my 70D. I bought a new cam to replace the woreout one but the other cam seems to be wore pretty bad. Do you think I will have any problems because the width of the slot is wider on one than the other.

Thanks for your input.

GPJohn,
The grooves in cams have to be the same width. Depending on which actuating sleeve you have, will determine the cams you need to use. There is two different actuating sleeves that have different size dowel pins that these cam anchor to. Both pins in a given actuating sleeve are the same diameter/size. I usually also replace the pins as they too will be worn. Hope this helps, DW
