What is this?

I am cleaning up a lot and have come across two of these beauties. Does anyone know what they are. They are stamped John Deere. Both have a cutting blade (sickle blade) and seem to have some sort of wooden rollers. Both are in bad shape but might have a part or two maybe needed, otherwise going to the scrap yard. Thanks

Old binder that looks like a good for scrape and sickle mower.

Yep a grain binder. In my youth I used one with the bundler removed to windrow Oats for combining

Most of the adjectives I no longer use I learned from my Dad while driving tractor on a horse-drawn grain binder like this, only red, that was converted to tractor drawn. That means tongue shortened. Dad rode the binder and offered advice!

Grain Binder, pulled one out also last year minnesota here and a guy from missouri bought it from me on here. He was going to send to the Amish to have them rebuild it.
