Got out to my friends place (80 miles one way) and proceeded to start working on swapping out the distributer. He shows up from an eye appointment about 15 minutes later. It was about +11F. Get the dizzy in and the batteries are dead. I had dropped my wife off at the Fargo Mall before heading out to his place (I know big mistake). So he hooks up the engine heater and a battery charger. Went and picked up my wife and did some final Christmas shopping now that they say the world isn't going to end on the 21st. Long about 4PM get back out to his place. Try to start the tractor. Now that dizzy only goes in one way as any of you who have worked on one knows. Something tells me just to check the firing order. Yep, correct, 153624. So we bumped it around to TDC, compression stroke for #1........wires are 180 out. Now I know that isn't something I did cause I used the old cap without touching the wires. Put the wires in the correct order in the correct hole and presto, fires right up. Let her run for about 5 minutes and set the timing. It now starts, idels and runs up to WOT great!

Thanks for the help.

Good on ya Rick. Now that you have an empty wallet after the Mall .........
I was in our local Mall yesterday and observed massive shopping done by wives, and the 'Hubbies' standing at the till with their 'cards/cash' out. Go figger!. MXms&HNY

Bob, wasn't bad at all. She said she couldn't find anything for the "boys" our adult sons and wanted to go elsewhere to shop for the grand daughters and daughters.

You didn't drop any small parts into the snow with numb fingers and wait two days for replacement's?
