Im working on that right hand main seal on that 730. I got that pulley off so far. Question is to remove the right main bearing housing do I need to take off any oil lines in the inside. The service manuel does not say that I need to. I have to find a gear puller big enough to pull off that PTO gear. I may not get time to work on it again till next week. Also I used the pony engine to motor over the diesel with out compression to make oil pressure on the diesel. It looks to me that the main seal is not leaking it looks to be leaking right at the bottom of the main bearing housing maybe its the gasket for the main bearing housing to the main case. What do you think?

The RH main is oiled by the crankshaft drilled oil holes. Once you have the PTO gear off, the oil seal can be clawed out without removing the main bearing housing. If you think it is leaking around the main, the housing can slide out, but you may have to support the crank to keep things in line as you slide it off to replace the gasket. Could be it is just loose...
