'39 B (early)- hand start. Not fully re-assembled. Put oil in crankcase to check oil moving through system. Turned flywheel by hand to check. After a good number of turns, oil is coming out of the bore for the oil pressure guage (small bore at top of 1st photo), and main bearings.etc. Oil is also covering the gears, etc. in the interior of the governor. (seen by lighted mirror) BUT I have not been able to get oil to come out the tappet oiler pipe bore (lower opening in 2nd photo). I think that the oil pump will have to be turning faster with the enginge running before oil can work it's way out of the bore, into the pipe and on to the tappets. Is my thinking correct?
