My great uncle is in his late 80's and has a 3cyl JD 820 that he uses for light work. He parked it under a shed and went to use it 3 weeks later and it will not start. My uncle has verified that there is plenty of fuel going to the injection pump but none coming out. I have only worked on MF and Ford tractors this size so I was wondering if anyone knew of a common problem on this model that could result in the symptoms we are seeing. Since it has an electric fuel shutoff, we are thinking that may be where the problem lies. Is there a way to operate the fuel shutoff manually? I have seen that on some tractors with electric shutoffs as a back-up, but most of my experience is with CAV pumps with manual shutoffs. |

| make sure that it is clicking when you turn the key on...make sure there is 12 volts to it and check where it grounds...my 820 had to change out fuse holder..it would lose connection there.. |
