did the cab's for the new generation tractors have an A/C option. I have seen many with heat but not A/C. Could you add A/C to one with out?

I think '71 was the first year with a compressor mount cast in the side of the block, but it was available before that. Talking to the guy who ran the 4020 I picked up last year, he said the a/c was impossible to keep it working, the fans on the roof would quit, and a high pressure hose would blow. Something as simple as a high pressure switch in the dryer would have save a lot of trouble.

One way to tell a later 4020 is the block had a place for compressor starting in 1971.The ones that dont work far outnumber the ones that do in tractors over 40 years old.Eagle made a A/C kit in that era and a one I got out west had what they called aswamp cooler that you dont see in the midwest. Most older cabs are worth what they weigh as they were just too noisy by todays standards which is under 90 decibles.Cabs have come along way.
