My 45 loader suffered a catastrophic failure with the entire right side collapsing and breaking up. There was no other damage except to my T-shirt, which got torn up too. (Note: Never wash a work shirt, it might not rip off when caught by something.) So I'm looking for a loader. Are there any non-JD loaders that would fit a 70 and do "medium duty" (vs light) work? My cylinders were undamaged. Any thoughts and guidance would be appreciated. Oh, price. . .let's just say that I'm self unemployed and $50.00 is a lot of money for us. . . Basic features are all that're necessary. Thank you, and have a happy thanks giving day--along with all the others!!

Where are you located? I'm in pay and we gave a New Idea that we ran on a 720 that should fit. I'll take $800 for it. Email @ adenrussell@gmail . Com if interested

I just bought a 630 with a quick attach loader. It has hyd. bucket with an independent valve and is in very good condition. It was made by Triggs and built in Belmond IA. I want to sell it off but I was wanting $1,000 for it and that might be more than you wish to spend.I am located in WI,post back if you are interested.

You could always stay with the 45 loader as pieces and parts are readily available and inexpensive. I have a couple good ones like this, they are hard to beat (IMO).

I have a jd 45w loader on my 70 and it takes a beating I move 4x4 round bales with it plus scrape the barn lot. I actually tore up the bucket a couple years ago scraping the barn lot in winter with double ring chains on. Ripped the bucket at the seam didn"t faze the arms whatsoever thinking the braces to go over the wide fronts strengthen the frame work either that or I have good steel in mine.

Got a Stanhoist on my Early styled A, bet it would fit a 70 too.

Farmhand will work good. Also an old Horn, or even a Du All.. Best of luck.

I wrecked one arm of my 45 loader a few years ago. Caught the left edge of the bucket on a stump that I'd forgotten about. 4th gear, quick stop, bloody lip. Anyhow - I called a local sale trader and told him I needed a left arm for my loader and he found one for me in about a week. $40 for an old loader, cylinders, rough bucket, rotted hoses, picked up at his shop. Used pieces off of it to repair mine. Have you got a trader in your area - he probably knows where there's one laying in a fence row.

As far as non JD loaders - I modified an old Freeman loader to fit my 630. It was set up for an AC WD-45. Cheap loader - used it for years, but just had to have a 45.

We had a New Idea Big Horn loader on a JD A, betcha they made brackets to put them on a G or 70 too. Don't know were you'd find one. My POA (plan of attack) would be the Craigslist, flea bay and local papers and auctions. If you have auctioneers in the area doing farm and estate sales tell 'em what your looking for, they'll give you a shout if the have one consigned to a sale.
