mike plotner 11-13-2012 15:31:12 71.50.34.3 Report to Moderator	anybody know were i could get double disk openers for a regular 494? is there anyone out there that knows a place that has them or someone who would be willing to part with a set? i really dont want to sell my soul to the dealer (although they are pretty good!) just for them. also anyone have a real good picture of how they go toghter? manual dosent have a real good pictuer. thanks! Was thinking I had a set for each planter but none are now on a planter and the 494A that is on 30" rows has not been used for about 8 years and the 494 on 40" rows for several years longer. The grease type mount on a different casting than the greaseless type. Do you have the casting for the blades to mount on? [Reply]  [No Email]

They could be gotten with either a grease type bearing or a greasless type. And with the shoe openers of a 494 you can put parts from a 494A over and make them work or the other way around. Can't remember for sure if I have them on both the 494 and 494A or not as they have not been used for years setting in the weeds. Mke, Where are you located?
