I got it out how do I get it back in

I posted a couples weeks ago on why not to drive your 70 without the brake drums on. So I have to replace the differential, getting it out wasn"t too bad but I can"t seem to get the new one back in. Are there any tricks?

If you have your new bearings on all the way, and the differential is the correct one it should go right in. Obviously the quill on the left side will have to remain out until you hook the bearing in the race on the RH side.

It can be a two man job.....or else a lot of rigging must take place...

You just tuck it in and zip up your pants.

It will go back in real easy once you get it turned JUST RIGHT. Struggled with one on a G one time and finally when I found the sweet spot it fell right in.

That can be REAL frustrating...... It will just about fall in about the time you feel like sitting down and crying!! Worked at one about a day and half before it "fell in" EGBinOR
