I have a 401 b John Deere tractor that I would guess to have a cracked fuel filter. It is the one that is round and only leaks when running. I went to jd parts.com and can not find what I need is it because it is a industrial model. What ag tractor do I need to look up that would have the same one. I called my local green dealer and they said they could and would not help me find it.it is a industrial model. I guess I just need the right part number and then go back and try again. The yellow house was not much help either they wanted me to bring the tractor to them and they would fix it I said no. Any help would be thankful.

I'd be looking for another dealer. There's a sn break @ 529283 and if it were my tractor I'd convert it to the rectangular filter if it didn't already have it because they are so much easier to change. Here's the parts schematics from a 401B PC #1430

Odds are one of the o rings is leaking. This was not a fun arrangement to get all the seals lined up.

As mentioned above, the new filter will contain all the needed o rings.

A 401B appears at JDParts. Anything "Deere" should be there.. not sure why you couldn"t find it there. The fuel filter element is AT17387. It should come with the filter and upper and lower rubber seals as well as a small oring that fits into the inside stem. May just be one of the rubber seals above or below the filter. Any Deere dealer should have one though I"d be hesitant to visit one of the places that didn"t want to help you.
