I have not even seen it yet. It was delivered after I left for work last night, & I didnt get home till after midnight. I sat in the cab at the dealer, & didnt recognize it. It was like sitting in a new car. It gets new Front tires in a couple of weeks, & a new paint job next year (I hope). Might need a new manifold too. If anybody else is considering this; it was meant to give You an idea of the cost currently. This was a lot cheaper than a new one!

I have two nice 3055's and I'm going to do major service on them this winter. I'm going to add replace all hoses (including heater), rebuild water pump, clean & pack front hubs amongst other things. Just a reminder: Check and clean your fuse board edge connectors. They get dirty and create resistance and can get worse & worse until they're so hot they can cause a fire. You might want to replace the board if it has discolored tabs. As was stated on a post today (4455) the 55 series tractors are pretty much bullet-proof and with a little service and tender loving care they'll last forever.

Price kinda suprised me too; although the brakes, clutch, & parking brake needed no parts. Most expensive part was the AC Copmressor at $424.36. Labor works out to about 29.5 hrs. ($85 / hr). Originally told to haul 30 miles back, forth would be $170; but without saying a word they cut it down to $65 total. Thats 4 trips, 120 miles total!

I will check that in about 2 hours from now; but I do know the service man was in the fuse box. If they didnt clean it they should have. Also how many hours are on Yours. Mine is less than 2800? Thanks for the info!

One about 2,200 hours and the other about 3,500 hours. We do about 30 acres of field work with plow, disc, harrow and 15 foot mower so I got the second one about 4 years ago to eliminate unhooking and hooking all the time. They do just about everything but I'd like to get ahold of a nice 4755 or the like to do some ripping. Gotta stay with 55 series tractors.
