37A unstyled ??

I have been looking for an unstyled A or B for a while. I found one that has solid metal type rims on the rear. (not spokes) Could these be original? or did they all come with spokes or slats that were usually cut off to put new rims for rubber tires.

They could be original if they are cast wheels with demountable rims. Cast wheels became available in the 36 model year and continued from there.
Original cast wheels were introduced in June 36 and were used up to 460000 (ten spline). These wheels used a drawn in tapered sleeve. Above 460000 (twelve spline) had the splined portion of the hub as an integral part of the cast disc and used a locking collar to tighten them down.
Stamped steel wheels (38") were not available during this time, but hubs were made available later with the corresponding spline pattern to accept these wheels.
Hope this helps.
