I have a 5020 that i would really like to put a turbo on. I have seen the remnants of these M&W kits that i guess nolonger exsist. However i have a few HX35 turbos that have come off of the 5.9l cummins in a dodge pickup and was wondering if anyone would thik it would flow enough air for the 5020 engine?

yes it would flow enough air ,but the 5020 engine was not built to stand a turbo like the 6030 was . It may not last very long if you work it very much.

I think the hx35 is the wrong footprint. A hx40 may be a better choice, And should be the correct footprint.

unless you are changing exhaust manifolds it should not matter sine you will have to make an adapter any way, 6030 or 619s both use big foot t6 mounts

I know that i am gonna have to make an adapter however i was looking at a 6030 and a turboed 5020 that a friend has and the turbos are much larger than the HX35.

Im running a hx35 on a 3020 deere with a m&w manifold. Had to make a adapter to go between manifold and the turbo. It spools very quick and low in the rpm range on my 270 cubic inch motor so i would think it would be to small for your 531 motor. My 2 cents

Is the concern on the bottom end, the pistons, headgasket, or something else??? I dont want to go crazy with the tractor i just want to give it a little more power and help it breath a little better.

Might try the turbo off a m35 ( duece and a half)

They have a T6 foot and dont make alot of boost. Save the drivetrain then.
