3130 & 245m Loader Problems

Hi folks.
We have just put on a 245m loader onto our 3130 but have ran into some problems.
The main issue at the moment is that it is always drawing oil from the tractor, even when not in use. It can just be sat there and it will be pumping oil around.
This is causing the steering to become sluggish and movement of the loader is slow.
Below are pics of the block and where we have taken oil from and returned it.

Thanks for any help.

Disconnect hose in photo #4(bottom) and with both spools(levers or joystick) in neutral crank engine. IF OIL FLOWS OUT OF HOSE then control valve is open-center which is causing your tractors hyd problem.

BTW the hose I referred to needs to be attached to a ported hyd filter cover not the trans case.

This topic has been beat to death several times here.

#1 there is either an open conter control valve, a closed
Center control valve with the wrong plug or a blown O"ring. Or
there is aRelief valve in the controls that is set below 2400psi.
#2 completely and totally sc3wed the pooch with the oil return
direct to sump. It"s been discused here several times that the
transmission pump is too small to supply the front pump.
During high flow loads that drain the oil cooler and tank.
Particularly a problem on older tractors such as yours with a
worn pump and clutch or brake seals that are seeping with
wear and hardening.
Obtain the ported filter cover we are forever talking about
and return the loader oil there.
#3 oil supply to loader valves is 100% correct.

Thanks to both of you. We shall try that tomorrow Jim, given up for today. Think we may take the valve down to our hydraulics people and see what they say about it.
Previous owners to us had it on something other than a JD, we think they might have changed the valve at some point.

(quoted from post at 11:46:36 11/03/12) Any plans to re-route the return oil to prevent front pump
cavitation ?
Where would be a best place to put it? In the front end somewhere?

Attach return hose to the opening in parts key #17(L55982 COVER) that parts key #16 was removed.
