JD 401C Brake Valve

Hi,I was going to take out my brake valve to fix a leak and noticed on the parts diagram that the bolts that hold it on are 8 and 7 1/2 inches with a reverser. Do you have to remove the reverser with the brake valve? That seems like I'm opening another can of worms.
Thanks for any advice.

I have limited knowledge on utility tractors with reverser but I think parts keys 26 & 27 will hold reverser valve onto trans case.

Hi, they(26&27) sure seem to be holding the reverser to the trans case. My problem is that the two bolts that hold the brake valve on will still be 1/2 inch inside the reverser when they hit the outside frame of tractor(assuming their lengths are 7&1/2 and 8 inches per the parts catalog). I can't imagine there would be enough play in holes to drop the brake valve & remove bolts.
thanks for advice
