7000 planter for cotton

Ok guy, I grew up in central Iowa with a 7000 planter on a corn/soybean rotation. I have a work project to secure a similiar planter for my company to be used in a test farm in NC doing corn, soybeans and cotton. Emphasis on cotton and the other two are off-shoot projects.

What seed units do I use for cotton on a Deere 7000? IS it the bean cup unit, corn meter unit or something altogether different?

THANKS for the help.

I use a caseih 800 with a corn seed cell plate.Change up the sprockets on the transmission to fit the population for the variety that I am planting. The corn plate seems to put some together that gives "pushing power"to help get them up.Guys that grow a lot around here use a vacuum planter with a hill drop plate that works great for cotton but certainly not necessary. With so many different cotton varieties all with different seed sizes and so very expensive a good poulation monitor is worth the investment. You will also need a acre counter, some kind of scales, just bathroom is what I use,so you can calculate seed planted over a certain acreage amount. Keeping good notes on everthing will come in handy in years to come.
