4620 fuel trouble

I was plowing for 30 minutes, when the tractor slowly lost power and stopped.I waited 10 minutes and restarted it. This happened several times and will now only run for 10 minutes.

Governor flex ring is failed inside injection pump, plugging return fitting and possibly return line also. Confirm by loostening timing window cover when it starts to die. If engine picks up speed and runs OK with cover loose, pump needs serviced to correct.

It's not automatically the fuel injection pump, although that is a distinct possibility. Other possibilities are debris in the fuel tank getting sucked over the tank outlet and a plugged fuel cap vent.

I'd make sure you're getting fuel flow and pressure to the i-pump. Might be a plugged in-tank screen, plugged line, bad lift pump, or just your basic fuel filter.
