 Attached a picture of the dash on my 435. Never thought much about it, but it does have the hole you are talking about in the center. Could not tell you what it is used for (has no purpose on my 435); Id say youd be fine with the 440 dash without a hole. . . difference could be gas vs. diesel engine. If your 440 has the gas engine it may not have the hole in the dash. I know a 430 dash will not work as I think the hood mounting is different than a 440 or 435 dash. |

| Well the dash i am looking at using is off 440 gas, with no hole, and it seems 440 should all have same dash i would think. I'll do some more research. But my other 435 has dash with no hole, and has tag in spot above just like the others. |
