Just wondering from other members overall, does it look like you all think there are many more old NOS deere parts in dealer stockpiles out there, or are they all bought up? I went to one by me in Lake Aerial, PA that had a good amount of NOS parts, but it wasn't advertised that well though, and really have not seen much else show up on the east coast.

Many years ago I bought some stuff from Pikeville Eq. in PA. They said they had a whole barn full of stuff but didn't have time or money to hire someone to go through it all to list it on the locator. I think this dealer is now not a JD dealer ? and/or might have even closed up but I do not know for sure.

When I stated restoring my LA I went to my local dealer in MA. They had two full shelf rows of NOS parts in their stock room that were not even in their computer catalog. I found a lot of NOS stuff for my LA there. They recently lost their JD dealership and I heard JD came and took the entire parts inventory back. I see lots of NOS parts on ebay. Seems a couple of the sellers on their have the market cornered for certain models and NOS stuff.

PIKEVILLE EQUIPMENT JUST LAST YEAR CELEBRATED THERE 75TH YEAR AS A FAMILY OWNED JOHN DEERE
DEALERSHIP. UNFORTUNATELY THE CONTRACT WAS NOT RENEWED ON AUGUST26, 2011. GREAT WAY FOR A LARGE CORPORATION TO SAY THANK YOU FOR 75 YEARS.
THERE IS A LARGE INVENTORY OF NOS PARTS BUT UNFORTUNATLY THEY ARE NOT ON THE J.D. LOCATOR
CALL WITH YOUR PART NUMBERS AS ALMOST ALL
PARTS ARE ON THE COMPUTER INVENTORY
THANK YOU

When I was in High school our local hardware store used to be the John Deere dealer in town, hadn't been for years. Still had boxes of stuff from John Deere on the shelf in the back. The owner said the separation from John Deere was kind of haphazard. At that time most of the folks in town still running 2 cylinder John Deeres (most farmers in the area)that wanted to have someone else fix their tractors and equipment went to a former dealer north of town. They too lost the franchise but kept their service shop open and had a lot of parts.
